Hope Springs Christian School is a private, non-profit, college preparatory Christian school. We launched our school in August of 2005 with 9 families and 2 certified teachers. We currently have 40 students in first through eighth grade.

Our goal at HSCS is to provide a nurturing and diverse environment where children learn about the ecumenical teachings of Jesus Christ, while building a strong foundation for life-long learning and contribution to society.

We strive to accommodate each child's individual learning style. We do this by maintaining a very low teacher-student ratio so that each child receives valuable one-on-one instruction. Our goal is to never exceed 10-12 children per classroom.

We believe that providing a positive learning environment - in which the teachers demonstrate sincere love and dedication to their students - allows each child to thrive and feel confident in their abilities and strengths.

Hope Springs is a parent/teacher cooperative. We have taken this approach because we believe that educating children must be a partnership between the school and the family. We register our students as homeschoolers but meet everyday in fully equipped classrooms. The core curriculum is taught by exceptionally gifted teachers. Other courses are taught by a committed team of parent volunteers.

Our teachers use nationally recognized curriculum materials in their classrooms, as well as personalized lessons to supplement our formal curriculum. Parent volunteers conduct PE, Christian Education, Art, and Music. We offer Spanish once a week taught by a professional tutor.

At HSCS, parents have an exceptional opportunity to maintain an intimate knowledge of their child's progress and daily activities in a small, family oriented environment. The teachers offer an "open door" policy where parent interaction is encouraged and counted on.

We will have four combined classrooms: 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 located at Grace Christian Church of Gwinnett.

Hope Springs follows the Gwinnett County school calendar and employs a quarter system for grading.
